Kayci Rodriguez was born and raised in Miami, Florida then moved 2 years ago to Orlando. She began her ballet training at the age of 3 at Vladimir Issaev School of Classical Ballet in South Miami. At age 7 she was promoted to begin her training with Vladimir Issaev following the Vaganova Syllabus Method. From age 7 to 18 she studied with many Russian instructors from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She also participated in the Summer Intensive Programs of Russian Technique since 2007 where she received additional training in Ballet and Character with faculty from the Vaganova Ballet Academy, Modern, Pilates and Flamenco. She continued her training with Vladimir Issaev till she graduated from high school. After graduating she was hired to be an apprentice with Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida. During her year as an apprentice she was promoted to soloist. After a year she was promoted to Professional soloist within the company. Kayci had also received training and is certified under teaching the Russian Vaganova Method. Kayci has an extensive experience on stage, dancing the most challenging classical and neo classical repertoire. She has danced solo pieces in The Nutcracker, Paquita, Raymonda, La Bayadere, and Don Quixote. She also had solo parts in Arts Ballet Theatre productions of Taiko, Waltz Glinka, Dr. Ouch, Harlequinade, Chipollino, Fairy Doll, Firebird, Petrouchka, Ballet Concierto, Fuga con Pajarillo, and Danzon, Fragmentos by Edgar Anido, and Pas de Deux 1 from Shostakovich Suites by Vladimir Issaev. She has also been fortunate to have been invited to participate in the International young dancers Festival in Miami, Mexico, Germany and Indonesia and to the Choreographers Festival in New York in summer of 2012. She is currently part of a company in Tampa known as Tampa City Ballet while teaching here at Xtreme and finishing her college education.
