Megan Thornton began training at the age of three with the Orlando Ballet School under Peter Stark and Dierdre Miles Burger. She has attended numerous summer programs including Pacific Northwest Ballet and Ballet West. In her junior year of high school she competed in the Youth American Grand Prix semifinals in Tampa, FL. She then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, to accept a full scholarship with Ballet West’s trainee program, under the careful tutelage of Jeffery Rogers and Jan Fugit. Then later moving on to Ballet West’s Second Company. Megan has performed principle roles as a guest artist around the country including Fairbanks, Alaska and St. George, Utah. Currently Ms. Thornton is a freelance guest artist based out of her home town in Florida.
